Completed Project: Original RAF Officer’s Tunic
For this special project, an original RAF officer’s tunic was carefully completed. As this is an original historic uniform, only minimal alterations were made.
Original NETHERLAND shoulder titles and an original RAF pilot wing were carefully fitted to the tunic. Their positioning was chosen with respect for the original appearance and character of the uniform.
The completed tunic now forms a beautiful and historically appropriate display. It has found its permanent place alongside an original WW2 American medic’s jacket. Between the two uniforms hangs a commemorative artwork honouring the fallen servicemen and animals who have been deployed in conflicts from the First World War to the present day.
The photographs have been published with permission. To protect the owner’s privacy, no personal details are included.
